Grattan Elementary is a public school in San Francisco that cares about both the community and learning. There are 20 students for every teacher, so kids get a lot of one-on-one help. They teach the basics like reading and math, as well as fun things like art, science, and how to get along with others. There is a saying at Grattan that says to be respectful, responsible, kind, and safe. Families are encouraged to get involved by going to events, festivals, and volunteering. There are also fun extra programs like gardening and GASP (after-school activities) that help kids be creative and learn new things.Grattan's test scores are pretty good. 67% of students are good at math and 72% are good at reading, which is better than the average in California. A lot of families in San Francisco like it for that reason.
