So, Drew College Preparatory Academy in San Francisco just had its first poetry slam and writing thingy! Middle and high schoolers got up and shared their own poems and stories with their friends, families, and teachers. It was a cool way to show off how creative the kids are, and the school's focus on letting students speak their minds and learn by doing.
