Being Updated
Turtleback Elementary in northern San Diego is kicking off the 2025-26 school year by focusing more on getting students to be leaders and offering full-day learning for the little ones. Both Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten will now have full-day schedules. This will give the youngest kids consistent learning time and routines. The idea is to help them learn better and get more involved in what's happening in class.
The school will also keep using its Leader in Me program, which encourages students to really take charge of their education.
Turtleback also values getting families and the community involved. They do this through things like grade-level shows, Friday flag events, and hands-on workshops. All of this supports students' schoolwork and helps them grow socially and emotionally, showing that the school really cares about creating a supportive and fun place for every student.
