Tierrasanta Elementary in San Diego is a public school for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. It's part of the San Diego Unified School District. Besides the usual subjects, they have a Spanish immersion program to help kids learn Spanish and appreciate different cultures. About 498 kids go there, and there are 23 students for every teacher, which is a bit more than what you see in other California schools. The school is pretty diverse, with around 58% of students coming from different backgrounds like Hispanic, White, Asian, African American, and mixed race. The kids do pretty well in school. Around 63% are good at Math, and 60% are good at reading and writing. This shows that the teachers are doing a good job and the kids learn together well. The school gets the usual amount of money for each student, which helps pay for regular classes, extra programs, and services for the kids. The school is in the Tierrasanta area, and parents and people in the community are involved and helpful.

Being Updated
People are paying attention to Tierrasanta Elementary this year because it is so involved in the community. Recent events have brought families, teachers, and community groups together to help students do well and be happy. School leaders say that family literacy nights, math workshops, and student conferences are very popular. They believe this is because they have created a team environment that keeps students learning even when they are not in class. These clubs give students more chances to learn new skills and try new things outside of regular classes. The goal is to meet the needs of all students and get them involved.
The school is also getting ready for its annual winter concert and show.
Tierrasanta Elementary is always working to make school better, get the community involved, and make it a safe place to learn. This helps them get a good reputation as a school in San Diego.
