Being Updated
Big changes are coming to Sunnyslope Elementary! The school district just approved new boundaries, which will probably change the number of students at Sunnyslope next year. Since a nearby elementary school closed, the South Bay Union School District redrew the attendance maps to even things out. So, Sunnyslope is likely to get more students from other schools. Though, the district says this might be a short-term thing because the total number of students is still changing.
At the same time, Sunnyslope is working hard to keep the community involved. They're holding parent meetings and school events to build stronger relationships between families and teachers. Things like Coffee Chats for parents and chats about early learning are part of their plan to get families more involved in helping their kids succeed.
Even with all the district changes, Sunnyslope Elementary is staying focused on teaching kids, getting the community involved, and keeping a supportive place for everyone.
