Being Updated
Shoal Creek Elementary is getting noticed because students are doing better in math. Test scores have been climbing over the last few years. School leaders say it's because they're using focused teaching methods, working with kids in small groups, and using tech to help each student learn in their own way.
Besides academics, Shoal Creek Elementary started a family program with workshops and info sessions to help parents help their kids with reading and math at home. The goal is to get teachers and families working better together to support students.
The school also put on its Winter Showcase, with student performances, art, and science stuff. This event showed how the school cares about more than just the basics and how it brings everyone together to celebrate what the students have done.
All this shows that Shoal Creek Elementary really cares about helping students grow.
