Being Updated
San Diego Unified School District just gave Sequoia Elementary a shout-out because the kids are reading much better! More students are now reaching their grade-level goals than before. The district said that Sequoia is a great example of how focusing on reading and giving kids more access to books can really help them get better, especially in the older elementary grades.
Sequoia Elementary is letting everyone know that sign-ups for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten for the 2026–27 school year will start in the middle of January. This is in addition to the good grades. So, if you have kids, write it down on your calendar! The school is also getting ready for winter events, student get-togethers, and fun family activities. These things make the school feel like a big, happy family.
All of this shows that Sequoia Elementary is very dedicated to helping students grow, getting families involved, and making sure that everyone does well.
