About Mountain View

Mountain View is a public school in San Diego, California, that serves students in grades K–5 or K–8. The school has about 18 students for every teacher, which means that classes are small and students get more one-on-one attention. Mountain View focuses on basic math and reading skills and works to help students at all levels of learning. Recent data shows that about 22% of students are good at math and 27% are good at reading. This suggests that they may need more academic help in these areas. The students come from a wide range of ethnic and economic backgrounds, just like the rest of the San Diego community. The school gets money from the government and the district to help students learn and participate in enrichment programs, but they don't say how much they spend on each student. Mountain View is still committed to creating a welcoming and supportive school environment that encourages both academic and social growth.
