Morning Creek Elementary is a public elementary school in San Diego, California. It is part of the Poway Unified School District and serves students in grades K–5. The school has about 650–700 students and a student–teacher ratio of about 21:1, which is close to the average for the district and the state. Morning Creek Elementary is known for focusing on basic academic skills, using teaching methods that help students learn to read and write, do math, and use technology in their daily learning. Structured classroom practices and enrichment activities are meant to help students grow both academically and socially. The student body is made up of people from many different ethnic backgrounds, and there is a moderate number of minority students. About 73% of students meet or exceed math standards, and about 72% show they can read well, which shows that they are doing well overall. Because it is a publicly funded school, the amount of money spent on each student is in line with the averages for California public schools.

Being Updated
Morning Creek Elementary School teacher Erin Savage just got a grant for her classroom! It's part of a program in the county to help teachers. She has a great idea for a project that will get kids more involved and help them learn by doing in their main subjects.
Morning Creek Elementary is working on a great school vibe by having multicultural nights and family get-togethers, in addition to helping teachers. They also have programs to help kids set goals, feel good about themselves, and get involved in their communities. The leaders of the school really want students to have great times at school and outside of school.
These things all show that Morning Creek Elementary is serious about getting the community involved and making teaching better. It seems like the town is all about helping students do well this school year and supporting teachers.
