Latest News

After a small plane crash in Murphy Canyon back in December 2025, Miller Elementary became a real center for the community when people had to evacuate. The school, which temporarily closed, took in hundreds of military families.

Before long, the students got back to their usual routines. Staff and parents teamed up to help kids feel better after what happened, stressing how things were back to normal and making sure everyone knew the school was safe. People from around town pitched in with the evacuation and helped families out, which just goes to show how much support there is for Miller Elementary. School leaders really tried to keep things normal for the kids and talked about anyone still worried about the crash. This whole thing showed how the school isn't just a place for learning, but also a spot where folks can get help when things go wrong. It made the staff, families, and local helpers even closer.
