Los Penasquitos Elementary School in San Diego just started a Story Time reading campaign to help students learn how to read. People from the community, including volunteers, came to classrooms to read to students, especially those in the second and third grades. This encouraged them to read outside of school and helped them develop a love of reading that would last a lifetime.

The school also keeps students interested by offering enrichment programs like a running club, arts activities, and technology projects. Getting parents involved is still very important, and there are ways for them to help out in the classroom and at school events.
