Latest News

Kimbrough Elementary in San Diego is joining a few other schools in a bigger after-school arts thing this spring. Kids get to try out music and dance, like classic mariachi and folklórico, through the school district's after-school setup. It’s all about creative, hands-on learning outside of regular school. Local groups and teachers are teaming up to get more art to kids in the district. These cool sessions are just a piece of what's going on.

The school and teachers are seeing kids get way more into arts and culture because of this. Families dig the extra after-school stuff. Kimbrough wants its students to get a solid education, and this artsy focus helps big time – it mixes fun, cultural stuff with the usual schoolwork.

Basically, Kimbrough Elementary is serious about giving its students more ways to learn and be a part of what's happening around them.
