Being Updated
Hancock Elementary School was in the news recently when a small plane crashed in the neighborhood near the school. Because of this, the school closed for a day last spring to keep everyone safe. School leaders got everyone off campus fast and worked with local emergency people. This really showed how good the school's safety plans and how everyone talked to each other - the school, the district, and the first responders were.
Also, San Diego Unified School District officials and local supporters are saying that California needs to keep giving schools even more money in the 2026–27 budget. They want to make sure schools like Hancock Elementary can keep their programs, staff, and services that help students.
All this shows that the school is serious about being ready for anything and making sure kids can still learn, which is what families and teachers are thinking about as they plan for the rest of the school year.
Q1. What time does Hancock Elementary School start and end?
