The community is excited about improving Darnall Charter School in San Diego and helps students do well after board meetings and sessions. Parents, staff, and leaders talk about how can we make a school better place, test scores, and how to spend the school's money in the school meetings. At these meetings, families can learn what's going on, share their ideas, and help plan new school programs.
Darnall Charter is also trying to get more families to send their kids to school next year. They want the new families to learn about the school through academic programs, bilingual programs, and other services that help students. The school says that the lessons are all about the students and that they focus on getting involved in the community, learning about themselves and others, and learning in a way that works for them.
