Latest News

Creekside Elementary is in the news because a sinkhole formed near the school's parking lot. Repair crews and safety officials had to temporarily close off the area to keep students and staff safe. A broken underground drainage pipe caused the ground to give way. Work is now being done to fix the problem and make the parking area stronger. School officials worked with the police and maintenance teams to change the way students were dropped off and picked up in the morning. This kept students away from the repair site while still allowing normal operations to continue. Parents were told what was going on and were told that the campus is still safe while the repairs are going on. Compared to state averages, Creekside Elementary does very well in school and is very good at both math and reading. The district stressed that fixing the infrastructure is a top priority to avoid future problems.
