Birney???????????????? Elementary School has been recognized with a lot of positive attention following the success of its student theater production. The event featured students of all grade levels coming together for a community performance that was warmly received by the families. The school’s arts program went live with a vivid play that had music, dance, and original student reflection on diversity and inclusion. Teachers and administrators pointed out the event as a brilliant example of how performing arts can deeply engage students, help them gain confidence and develop their communication skills. The families who attended the performance were full of praise for the students’ inventiveness and the collaborative effort that the students made to the production.
