Recently, Balboa Elementary School made the news when students returned to a clean and welcoming campus after volunteers from the community helped pick up trash that had built up over the summer. In response, volunteers from the neighborhood worked with school staff over the weekend to clean up the grounds and make sure they were ready for the new school year.
