Latest News

As part of a larger district distinction program, Angier Elementary School has been recognized this school year for its support of students who are connected to the military. The San Diego Unified School District recently announced that several of its campuses, including Angier Elementary, have been recognized for helping military families by creating a welcoming environment and providing resources that are specific to their needs. The California Purple Star designation recognizes schools that go above and beyond to help students whose parents are in the military, reserve, or veteran status. It also shows that schools are still working to meet the unique academic and social-emotional needs of these families.

District officials said that these efforts were very important for helping students learn more, especially in math.

Parents and staff have said they are proud of the school's dedication to community involvement and inclusive practices as it tries to help all students succeed.
