Truman Benedict Elementary is currently promoting its positive school culture through district-wide PBIS initiatives that reward students for safe and responsible behavior. The school's dedicated parent community recently held successful fundraising events to help pay for field trips for each grade and extra materials for the classroom. The administration is also getting ready for the spring academic showcases, where students can show off what they've learned through project-based learning.
Q1. Is there a "Back to School" night at Truman Benedict Elementary?
Ans. This yearly event in early September invites families to meet teachers and find out what is expected of them in the classroom.
Q2. What are the rules for cell phones at Truman Benedict Elementary?
Ans. To make sure that students can focus and learn without any distractions, their devices must stay off and be kept in their backpacks every day.
Q3. Is there a parent-teacher association at Truman Benedict Elementary?
Ans. The school has a parent group that meets once a month to plan fundraisers and help with different activities that help students learn more.
Q4. How does Truman Benedict Elementary find out about students who are not there?
Ans. Parents need to call the attendance line or send a signed note to the office to let them know their child won't be there.
Q5. Does Truman Benedict Elementary School give out a summer reading list?
Ans. To help students keep up their reading skills over the break, the school recommends certain books for each grade level.
