The official opening of North Salinas High School's new administration and classroom building on Alvin Drive was a big deal. It is now the main entrance to the campus and the modern hub for student services. This $32 million modernization project is the school's biggest investment in its 65-year history. It adds 18 state-of-the-art learning spaces, including specialized labs for the sports medicine program. The school is also expanding its community-focused programs with the help of a multi-million dollar state grant for the "Community Schools" model.
