A Verde K-8 School community outreach coordinator has been recognized for creating strong family engagement and improving student attendance in North Richmond. Her efforts include prize incentives for improved attendance, organizing potluck lunches for families, helping parents find jobs, and hosting community flea markets—actions credited with increasing attendance and fostering a stronger connection between school and families.
