In Reedley, Washington Elementary School had the opportunity to recognize student & staff accomplishments with a district-wide recognition where one of the teachers won "Educator of the Week," creating positive publicity for their work in the classroom; this continues to show how this school has joined families to the Kings Canyon Unified School District’s (KCUUSD) initiatives, such as health/wellness events & prolonging learning beyond the classroom, thus enhancing parental involvement in their students' education. This ongoing emphasis on recognition/enrichment activities shows evidence of an active school environment and emphasizes the importance of both student/community participation and involvement within our schools.
