An update to the school's district calendar included examples such as Student of the Month assemblies and a farmers market, both of which promote academic success and community involvement. The school's commitment to positive student behavior and student involvement is evident in these programs, which are aligned with Alta Elementary School's SOAR value system, promoting responsibility and respect amongst all students.
Q1. What kinds of extracurricular programs exist at Alta?
Ans. Most children enrolled at Alta will be able to participate in types of extracurricular like: Art, Music & Physical Education (PE) classes, and sometimes clubs that take place after school by each year and staff's availability.
Q2. Does Alta have services available for children who learn differently?
Ans. Yes, Alta has a variety of services available to help children learn differently
Q3.What does a typical day in the life of an Alta student look like from the time they attend school until they leave campus for the day?
Ans. Each day (except for Wednesdays when there is only one session), all the students will have core-academic learning in the morning and through enrichment subjects, of which they will have recesss or lunchtime, although actual times will depend on what grade your kiddo is in.
Q4. How can I stay informed and involved with what is happening at school and how my child is doing? Ans. You can stay informed through a variety of communication tools used by the school: newsletters, teacher apps, parent-teacher conferences and district communications.
Q5. Can parents be involved at Alta?
Ans. Yes, parents can be involved as volunteers, through school functions and through committees or advisory groups.
