The academic calendar for 2025–2026 at McKinley Elementary is moving forward. It will stress a lot about student-led projects and getting involved in the community. Everyone at the school is asked to use the new Sprigeo reporting system to help keep the campus safe and friendly. The school is getting ready for the next parent-teacher conferences, which will be about how well the students are doing and what they want to accomplish.
Q1. Does McKinley Elementary School have a student council that helps kids learn how to be leaders?
Ans. Students in fourth and fifth grades can run for officer positions to plan school-wide spirit days and represent their classmates.
Q2. What are the rules for keeping kids safe on the playground at McKinley Elementary School?
Ans. Students must adhere to the "Hands-Off" policy and utilize equipment as intended while under the supervision of trained yard duty personnel.
Q3. Does McKinley Elementary School have any special programs to help kids read better?
Ans. The school has a special reading lab that helps students who are not doing well in school.
Q4. How can families at McKinley Elementary School get free or low-cost meals?
Ans. You can get meal applications in the front office or fill them out online through the district's nutrition services portal.
Q5. Does McKinley Elementary School have any sports teams that meet after school?
Ans. There aren't any official interscholastic leagues, but the school often has intramural sports like soccer or kickball at lunch.
