Kimberly Elementary still focuses on its "Elements of Learning" framework, which is all about teaching K-5 students how to be responsible and solve problems. The school recently changed its Title IX and nondiscrimination policies to make sure that all families feel safe and welcome. The RUSD eNews, which comes out once a month and focuses on the district's accomplishments in the arts and sciences, encourages parents to stay in touch.
Q1. What is the mascot for Kimberly Elementary School, and how do people celebrate it?
Ans. The school's mascot is the Cub, and every Friday, students wear school colors to show how proud they are of the campus.
Q2. Does Kimberly Elementary School have any summer school or other programs?
Ans. Students who meet the requirements can take part in the district's summer RISE program in July to improve their reading and math skills.
Q3. Are pets allowed on the grounds of Kimberly Elementary School when students are being picked up?
Ans. To keep all the kids safe, pets aren't allowed on school grounds during busy times like drop-off and pick-up.
Q4. How does Kimberly Elementary School keep parents informed every week?
Ans. Every Sunday night, the principal sends out an email newsletter with information about important dates, reminders, and events that will happen at the school in the near future.
Q5. Is it okay for parents to have lunch with their kids at Kimberly Elementary School on special days?
Ans. Parents can eat lunch with their kids at the outdoor tables after checking in at the main office visitor system.
