Franklin Elementary School was just named a Distinguished School in California for 2025. This is a huge honor that only 336 elementary schools in the state have received for having students who do very well in school. The principal, Dr. Acosta, said he was very proud of how hard the staff worked to help students feel like they belonged while also doing well in school. In early 2026, the school will also hold a lottery for families who live outside the district to enroll their children.
