Staff members at Turtle Bay School in Redding, California, are getting into the holiday spirit by winning prizes and doing fun things. Recently, the school held a Winter Concert that featured talented student musicians. The beginning, concert, and jazz bands all played. The Turtle Bay Garden Club is also excited to raise awareness about the environment and get people involved in their community. The school is also getting ready for upcoming events, like a Reading Bowl competition between RSD and EES.
Q1. Do students get to do things outside of school?
Ans. Students can join music, sports, clubs, arts programs, and STEM activities that help them become better people, work together, and become leaders outside of school.
Q2. How does the school talk to families?
Ans. Newsletters, apps, and parent-teacher meetings are all ways to get updates.
Q3. What other skills do you learn besides schoolwork?
Ans. The school teaches students to be responsible, work together, and be polite. These are all important social skills that will help them grow as people and do well in the long run.
Q4. How are lessons in the classroom set up?
Ans. Lessons are meant to be fun and interactive so that students can learn while building strong basic skills.
Q5. Does the school offer ways to get to and from school?
Ans. Within district boundaries, eligible students can use bus routes.
