Soleado Elementary is located at 27800 Longhill Dr., Rancho Palos Verdes, California 90275. The school serves students from kindergarten through grade 5. Total enrollment at the campus is 452 students. The student–teacher ratio is 25:1. The student population includes approximately 50% female students and 50% male students. According to state assessment data, 90% of students meet or exceed proficiency in math and 85% meet or exceed proficiency in reading. The school operates as a public elementary campus within the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District, serving a large suburban community. The campus follows a neighborhood-based enrollment structure, with students attending from nearby residential areas across the peninsula. Homes surrounding the campus commonly list near $1,200,000. Soleado Elementary School in Rancho Palos Verdes does much better academically than other public elementary schools. It always gets high scores in both math and reading. The Response to Intervention (RTI) program at Soleado Elementary has helped a lot of students get better at reading over time. Students in all grades have been making steady progress, and it's clear that they are getting better at reading and understanding texts. In this area, the school has gotten some of the best results in the district. Throughout the year, teachers and staff continue to work closely with students, giving them extra help when they need it and helping them build confidence little by little. This ongoing effort has been a big part of improving reading skills across the school.
