Pomona’s Lopez Urban Farm — closely linked with the Pomona Unified School District (the district that includes Lopez Elementary) — inaugurated a new outdoor community kitchen on November 20, 2025. This space is designed to support community, education, wellness, food access, and health equity by bringing together students, faculty, local leaders, and community partners. Officials including the Mayor of Pomona and City Council members attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony, signaling strong local support for the initiative
