Donlon Elementary School is located at 4150 Dorman Rd., Pleasanton, California 94588. The public school serves students from kindergarten through grade five. Current enrollment is about 729 students drawn from residential areas across Pleasanton’s eastern neighborhoods. Classroom staffing produces a student–teacher ratio of roughly 24:1. Student demographics show approximately 53% male and 47% female enrollment. According to state assessment data, about 82% of students meet math proficiency, while 81% reach reading proficiency. The data makes the school the best elementary school in California. The school operates as a traditional neighborhood elementary campus in the Pleasanton Unified School District network. The campus functions within Pleasanton’s boundary-based elementary structure, where neighborhood attendance lines determine placement and students typically continue into the district’s established middle school feeder pattern. Compared with many Alameda County campuses, Donlon Elementary is widely recognized as a high-performing Pleasanton elementary school, noted for sustained test performance and its position within one of the Bay Area’s consistently strong public school systems for families evaluating local schools today.
