In late September 2025, sixth-grade students from Pleasant Valley Middle School went to the Sly Park Environmental Education Center for a four-day Outdoor Science Camp. The program included guided hikes, creek studies, and hands-on lab work that met state science standards. The experience included hands-on learning that was related to what the students were learning in science class.
