The Aquila Award is a new award at Indian Creek Elementary School in Placerville that students vote on to honour staff members who make a difference on campus. In August 2025, Mr. Jacob Jimenez became the first person to win the award for being friendly and helpful at school. Students praised him for making the school a friendly place and making them feel at ease during the day. The project shows that the school is working to make a positive and supportive environment for its students.
