Van Buren Elementary has put in place a new student calendar for the years 2025–2026 that includes time for teacher training and reviews in the middle of the year. The school is focusing on "Roadrunner" excellence, and recent assemblies honored students for their character and literacy skills. Van Buren also still has strong after-school programs to help working families.
