Esperanza Elementary is making a name for itself with its great accomplishments! The Oakland Unified School District named Maria De La Fuente-Moreno, a third-grade dual-immersion teacher, one of the 2025-26 Teachers of the Year. The school has also started a new recycling program that will cover the whole school. The goal is to cut down on waste and encourage sustainability. Esperanza Elementary is also hosting Reading to Kids Monthly Reading Clubs, which help students develop a love of reading.
