The Ecohero Show recently came to Tierra Vista Elementary School and taught over 500 students about the environment and how to take care of watersheds. This was part of a countywide program to raise awareness about science and sustainability.
Q1. Does Tierra Vista Elementary have programs before or after school?
Ans: Yes, the school works with district or community programs to offer limited before- and after-school care, such as help with homework and enrichment activities.
Q2: What does Tierra Vista Elementary do to help students who are new to English?
Ans. The school has English Language Development (ELD) programs and other classroom support to help students who are learning English do well in school.
Q3. Are parents encouraged to participate in school activities?
Ans. Yes, parents can help their kids learn and support school programs by volunteering, going to school events, and meeting with teachers.
Q4. What kinds of help are there for students?
Ans. Tierra Vista Elementary provides counseling, academic intervention programs, and referrals to district-level support services as needed.
Q5. Does the school give students access to technology?
Ans: Yes, students can use computers, tablets, and other digital learning tools in the classroom to help them learn core subjects and improve their skills.
