The Oxnard School District recently honored Elm Street Elementary in Oxnard for making significant academic progress on state standardized tests in a number of subjects. This shows that students are doing better and that teachers are working harder this school year.

Ans. Yes, the school has programs after school that include help with homework, fun activities, and supervised care, depending on what is available in the district.

Ans. Elm Street Elementary has special education programs and other support services for students who need extra help with their schoolwork or development.
Q3. What does the school do to help students who are learning English?
Ans. The school teaches English Language Development and gives teachers tools to help English Learners improve their language skills while still learning what they need to know for their grade level.
Q4. What can parents do to keep up with their child's progress?
A. Parents can stay in the loop by going to parent-teacher conferences, using digital communication tools, reading newsletters, and talking to teachers and other school staff directly.
Q5. What kinds of safety measures are in place on campus?
Ans. Elm Street Elementary keeps the campus safe by having supervised entry points, staff watching over the students, emergency drills, and working with district safety personnel.
