New enhancements to Mill Street Elementary that are intended to provide students with better opportunities for success in early education, as well as to improve student well-being, have been built at the Mill Street campus. As of February 2026, the school has added four new Transitional Kindergarten (TK) classrooms to the campus. These new classrooms will allow the school to provide additional TK opportunities for younger children. Two new modern playgrounds with upgraded areas for children to play on were also built earlier in the 2025-26 school year and will be used by all students. Mill Street Elementary is part of a five-year California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) grant. This grant will help to integrate the delivery of academic, health, and social services to Mill Street students.
