Q1. Are there any pre or post school programs available to kids who attend Ottomon Way Elementary?
Ans. Activities during this time may include homework help, recreational activities, and enrichment programs depending on availability.
Q2. Does the school provide multiple opportunities to get involved in school clubs or enrichment activities?
Ans. Elementary schools such as Ottomon Way Elementary School provide opportunities for students to explore interests beyond the regular curriculum. Based on the school calendar, and availability of instructional staff, students have access to student clubs, art programs, and other types of enrichment programs to support creating new creative ideas and concepts while working together as a team in a group setting.
Q3. In what ways does the teacher communicate with parents about the student's progress?
Ans. Teachers typically communicate with families through progress reports during the school year, parent-teacher conferences, and school communications such as newsletters or digital platforms.
Q4. At Ottomon Way Elementary School, what kind of teaching will my child receive?
Ans. In a typical neighborhood elementary school, there are many opportunities for students and teachers to build positive and collaborative relationships. The educational environment will be structured to provide support for student learning through various methods, as well as provide opportunities for students to develop socially and academically by engaging in activities with their peers.
Q5. When are families able to come together throughout the school year for scheduled events at school?
Ans. Schools provide a wide variety of family-oriented events throughout the school year (e.g., open houses, family nights, seasonal events, and student performances) that provide families with the opportunity to meet with their child's teacher, celebrate their children's achievements, stay connected to one another socially, as well as to make connections to the school and community.
