Recently, Del Norte Elementary School received recognition from the DSD for its improved student attendance and behavior support programs. As part of their positive behavior program, Del Norte has expanded a variety of ways to foster respect and responsibility throughout the entire campus. Also, Del Norte's staff created a "Student Recognition Assembly" as a way to celebrate students for demonstrated academic effort and a continual academic improvement.

A. The school uses both intervention programs and teacher support plans to help students.

A. Yes, there are several informational sessions conducted throughout the year.

A. The school provides reading challenges and provides students with materials to take home.
Q4. Does the school assist students in creating their own learning goals?
A. Yes, Teachers work with the students to assist them in setting age-appropriate learning goals.
Q5. How do you assist students when they experience conflict with each other?
A. The school is using conflict resolution strategies and counseling services to assist students with conflict.
