Santa Margarita Elementary was recently praised for its great school culture and its efforts to promote fairness and support for students. The new grading policy is meant to better show how much students have learned and how well they have mastered subjects. This school is the first in the district to use it. The school and local military families also got to know each other better through big community events that students and staff took part in.
Q1. Does Santa Margarita Elementary School offer tutoring for kids who are having trouble reading?
Ans. Specialized interventionists work with small groups of students to help them with specific problems and teach them important reading and writing skills.
Q2. Is there a special program at Santa Margarita Elementary for kids who move around a lot?
Ans. The school has a "Sponsors" program in which current students help new students get used to the school.
Q3. Is there a choir at Santa Margarita Elementary?
Ans. Upper-grade students can join the school choir and sing at different events on campus and in the district.
Q4. Are there digital citizenship lessons taught at Santa Margarita Elementary?
Ans. The school's curriculum teaches students how to use the internet in a safe, respectful, and responsible way.
Q5. Is there a field day at the end of the year at Santa Margarita Elementary?
Ans. Every year, the whole school gets together to celebrate student fitness with outdoor games and athletic challenges.
