In July 2025, Rocio Castanon, a teacher at Aspire Monarch Academy, won the Don Shalvey Award. Castanon has worked at the school for 15 years and is part of a three-generation Aspire family. She teaches computer skills. The award honors long-term dedication and contributions to student learning in the Aspire network.
