Pleasant Valley Elementary is getting ready for its spring conference window. During this time, teachers will talk to families about how their kids are doing in school this year. The school has just finished making changes to its safety plan for 2025–2026. New rules are in place for eBikes and eScooters on campus. Students are taking part in social-emotional learning activities that are meant to help them build a community that is kind and respectful.
Q1. Is there a specific focus on technology in the classroom at Pleasant Valley Elementary School?
Ans. The school has a 1:1 device ratio to help students of all ages learn how to use technology and work together on research projects.
Q2. What do parents at Pleasant Valley Elementary School need to do to volunteer?
Ans. Before helping out on-site, all volunteers must have a current TB clearance and a background check on file with the district.
Q3. Does Pleasant Valley Elementary School have a program for gifted and talented students?
Ans. In the general classroom, teachers give different kinds of instruction to challenge and help students who are doing well academically.
Q4. How does Pleasant Valley Elementary School keep students safe when it rains?
Ans. Students are watched in the multi-purpose room or their classrooms during bad weather so they can have lunch and play games inside.
Q5. Does Pleasant Valley Elementary School have a school-wide system for good behavior?
Ans. The school has a "PAWS" system that rewards students who show that they are ready, responsible, and safe.
