Being Updated
The Superintendent Student Advisory Committee has come up with new ways for Olive Elementary to put the health and mental health of its students first. The school held events for the community not too long ago to help families learn about the new dress code and volunteer requirements for the 2025–2026 school year. To make sure that all students pass the state-required tests by the end of spring, teachers are now focusing on the academic program focus areas.
Q1. Does Olive Elementary School have a designated "quiet zone" for students during recess periods?
Ans. A supervised indoor area is available for students who prefer reading or drawing over active physical play during their break.
Q2. What is the procedure for reporting a student's absence at Olive Elementary School?
Ans. Parents must call the 24-hour attendance line or email the school office before nine o'clock on the day of absence.
Q3. Does Olive Elementary School provide a hot breakfast for students arriving early?
Ans. Nutritious breakfast options are served daily in the cafeteria starting twenty minutes before the first morning bell rings.
Q4. How are student medications managed by the health office at Olive Elementary School?
Ans. All prescriptions must be kept in the health office and require a signed physician's authorization form for on-campus administration.
Q5. Are there any environmental or recycling clubs active at Olive Elementary School?
Ans. The student-led "Green Team" works to reduce campus waste and manages the school's composting and blue bin recycling efforts.
