The board is looking for a new permanent director for Novato Charter School because the school's leadership changed in late 2024. During this time, the school is being run by people who are only there for a short time. The school still puts a lot of emphasis on its Waldorf-inspired curriculum by holding seasonal festivals and performances by students that celebrate nature. A lot of people want to get their kids into the specialized K–8 programs, so families are entering the annual enrollment lottery for the 2026–2027 school year.
