The Topeka Charter School For Advanced Studies wants to become a School for Advanced Studies (SAS) for the 2025–2026 school year. The school is getting ready for the spring tests and is asking parents to fill out the annual School Experience Survey to help them plan future programs. The official rankings for 2026 show that the school is still doing a great job of getting students ready for college and other high-level academic paths.
Q1. What does it mean for Topeka Charter School For Advanced Studies to have "Charter" status?
Ans. It gives the school more freedom in hiring and setting up its curriculum while still being a free, public school in LAUSD.
Q2. Is there a gifted magnet at Topeka Charter School for Advanced Studies?
Ans. Even though it is a School for Advanced Studies (SAS), it offers an enhanced academic curriculum to the people who live nearby.
Q3. How is the campus of the "Topeka Charter School For Advanced Studies" safe?
Ans. For safety reasons, all visitors must be buzzed in through the main office at the school.
Q4. Does Topeka Charter School For Advanced Studies have any community service projects?
Ans. Every year, students collect toys and food for local Northridge charities and families in need.
Q5. Is there a choir at Topeka Charter School for Advanced Studies?
Ans. Every week, a student choir practices and sings at different school events, like holiday parties and the spring open house.
