Dearborn Elementary Charter Academy has started a new set of free Saturday Enrichment Classes to help kids feel better about themselves and get interested in things outside of school. On January 27, 2026, the school held a "Coffee with the Principal" event to talk about the IEP process and upcoming orientations for volunteers. Families can now use the district's "Choices" application portal to sign up for school in 2026–2027.
Q1. What are the "Saturday Enrichment Classes" at Dearborn Elementary Charter Academy?
Ans. These free classes on the weekends give students extra help with their main subjects and the chance to try out new hobbies like chess.
Q2. Is there a music room at Dearborn Elementary Charter Academy?
Ans. There is a special room for teaching instrumental music, such as strings and woodwinds, to older students.
Q3. What can parents do to help the board of the Dearborn Elementary Charter Academy?
Ans. Parents are encouraged to run for positions on the Governance Council so they can help make decisions about school policy.
Q4. Does Dearborn Elementary Charter Academy have a program for students who speak two languages?
Ans. The school now has a standard English immersion curriculum and extra help for students who are learning more than one language.
Q5. What does the "Dearborn Elementary Charter Academy" say about homework?
Ans. Teachers give students homework that is appropriate for their grade level to help them remember what they learned in class and encourage them to study on their own.
