Being Updated
As the district looks over the results of the recent LCAP survey, Stevenson Elementary is still a center for parent-participation programs. The school is following the district's March focus on "helper" values to honor women from the past and encourage people to be responsible. Fifth graders are now choosing electives for their transition to middle school programs for the next school year.
Q1. What is the parent-participation model at Stevenson Elementary?
Ans. Families are asked to volunteer a certain number of hours each month to help with classroom activities and other school-wide tasks.
Q2. Are there any elective options for older students at Stevenson Elementary?
Ans. As fifth graders get ready to move on to middle school, they get help choosing their elective classes.
Q3. What is the "Stevenson Elementary" way of teaching kids about character?
Ans. The school teaches values like responsibility and helping others to make sure that the students are positive and aware of their surroundings.
Q4. Does Stevenson Elementary have a news show that is run by the school?
Ans. Students in the upper grades make a video announcement to keep everyone on campus up to date on upcoming events and other news from the local schools.
Q5. How can parents find out about events at Stevenson Elementary?
Ans. The school sends families real-time updates and reminders through the ParentSquare portal and a digital newsletter.
