Gabriela Mistral Elementary just finished a "Kindness Week" celebration that included quetzal-themed crafts and daily activities to help students be kind. On March 26, 2026, the school will hold an Open House to welcome families and show off how well the students are doing in school. There will also be a Teacher Service Day on March 20, 2026, when there will be no classes.
Q1. What does "Kindness Week" mean at Gabriela Mistral Elementary?
Ans. This yearly event has activities and crafts based on the quetzal to encourage kindness and good social interactions between all students.
Q2. Are there open houses at Gabriela Mistral Elementary for families who are thinking about enrolling their children?
Ans. Families can visit the school during the spring Open House to see classrooms and student work and progress.
Q3. What is the structure of the dual immersion program at "Gabriela Mistral Elementary"?
Ans. Students learn both Spanish and English in all of their core subjects so that they can become highly bilingual and biliterate.
Q4. Does Gabriela Mistral Elementary have a PE teacher?
Ans. Every week, certified instructors lead sessions for all kids that focus on motor development, good sportsmanship in team sports, and building healthy habits that will last a lifetime.
Q5. What kinds of technology do students at Gabriela Mistral Elementary have?
Ans. The campus keeps a one-to-one device ratio so that every student can use digital tools for research.
