At this year’s San Joaquin County STEAM Fair & Expo, a group of Wicklund Elementary School students won 2nd place in the Math/Computer Science category for their project named ‘AI Healthy Lunch Analyzer.’ This project investigates how artificial intelligence can be used to assess what meals to eat and help students make better choices. This is an example of the increasing emphasis on STEM education / student innovation at Wicklund Elementary School, as well as generating positive publicity for the campus and students involved with STEM research.
