The Superintendent's Monthly Message recently talked about Paradise Valley Engineering Academy as a school that uses new ways to teach engineering to elementary school students. Families who want to see the school in action during the 2026–2027 enrollment cycle can fill out interest forms now. On March 26, the district board will also hold a Themed Study Session to talk about plans for future educational studies.
Q1. What kinds of engineering tools does the Paradise Valley Engineering Academy use?
Ans. Students regularly use specialized building kits and design software to solve real-world problems using the engineering design process.
Q2. Is there a robotics club at Paradise Valley Engineering Academy?
Ans. Students in the school's competitive robotics program design, build, and program robots for events in the area and beyond.
Q3. Is there a school-wide engineering competition at Paradise Valley Engineering Academy?
Ans. Monthly challenges get students from all grades to work together to come up with creative ways to fix certain structural or mechanical problems.
Q4. How does the Paradise Valley Engineering Academy work with engineers in the area?
Ans. Professional engineers from the area come to classrooms to help students with their design projects and give them expert feedback.
Q5. Is there an outdoor learning lab at Paradise Valley Engineering Academy?
Ans. There is an outdoor area on campus that is set up all year round for big construction projects and environmental engineering experiments.
